Adventures in Aberdeen

To end our week of pre-season training, the men and women went to the Aberdeen Aquatics Tournament.

This was a great way to get in some match practice after the mid-season break and get us ready for the remainder for the season.

The men won the whole tournament, with everyone putting in a brilliant performance. They started off by beating Aberdeen followed by Strathclyde. This left them in the final against Edinburgh 1sts where they came away with the 4-2 win and a very nice gold medal.

The women won their first two matches against Edinburgh 3s and then a mixed team from the other Scottish Universities. Like the men, this put them in the final against Edinburgh 1sts. After conceding two early goals, the women stepped up their game and fired back with a strong backhand from Meg. This was quickly followed by an outside shot by Ruby however Edinburgh put away two neat lobs and bested us this time.

This tournament was great fun for everyone involved and has put us in good shape to get the season going again!
